Who can install a Blackhawk Tracking System and how much does it cost?

Only Blackhawk Certified Installers may install a Blackhawk device. Cost depends on the country and complexity. Contact your installer or your Blackhawk office for a quote.

Can I connect the Blackhawk to my alarm?

The V2000 model is fully compatible with most alarm systems, allowing for a message to be sent when the alarm is activated on your car.

How does the immobilizer work?

When the immobilizer is activated the Blackhawk will not just stop the car, as not only is this dangerous to other drivers, it can cut off power steering and make it dangerous for the driver as well. Instead the unit will wait until the car is next under 5km and then turn off the car. It will then report its location to your computer and cell phone allowing for easy recovery.

Can I have more than one BLACKHAWK?

Yes. Each Blackhawk is able to be renamed by the owner. Therefore, if you have more than one Blackhawk you can rename it to be called something that means something, such as "Mum's car" and "Dad's car". Blackhawk also now offer a fleet management product for fleets, allowing for multiple cars to be tracked and controlled.

Why can I not immobilize my vehicle by texting it?

If you have the V1000 model this doesn't include the immobilize feature. If you have a V2000 and it has been installed correctly make sure you are texting "disable" to the correct mobile number of the Blackhawk. You can find this number by logging in at the website.Click on My Blackhawks then Settings. Please also check the immobilizer setting is enabled and that your mobile number is in the ACL list at the bottom. Please click "update" if you change anything.

Why can't I see the map?

The browser you are using is stopping the map from being displayed. Upgrade your brower to the lastest version. The supported browers are Internet Explorer 7, Mozilla Firefox 3, Google Crome

Who can see my information and vehicle movements?

All information reported by your Blackhawk is private and can only be viewed by yourself and Blackhawk technical support. The information is not released to any outside parties. Only authorised cell phone numbers you allow will be able to send messages to your Blackhawk.
